Embed an Arcade demo in a PDF

Yes, you can embed an Arcade demo in a PDF with FeatPaper. Paste the Arcade share link into the EMBED tab and the interactive demo appears on the page. Viewers click through your product step by step, right next to the slide that explains it.

  • A sales deck where the prospect tries the feature before the call
  • A product one-pager with a guided demo of the main workflow
  • A release note or changelog PDF that shows the new feature
  • An onboarding guide where each section has a hands-on walkthrough

FeatPaper accepts Arcade share links:

https://app.arcade.software/share/XXXXXXXX

Editor links (app.arcade.software/flows/XXXXXXXX/edit) and ?embed links also work. FeatPaper converts them to the share form.

  1. Open your demo in Arcade.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Copy the share link.

Arcade’s docs cover sharing and embedding options. See Official guides below.

Open the Content tab

Open your document in FeatPaper and go to the Content tab. Only people with edit rights see the editor.

Open the editor

Click the Add video or link card. The motion editor opens full screen.

Pick the page and the EMBED tab

Select the page in the left sidebar, then click EMBED in the toolbar.

Paste the Arcade link

Paste the link into the Embed URL field and click Add. FeatPaper converts it to Arcade’s share form automatically.

Place and resize it

The demo lands in the middle of the page at half the page width, in a 16:9 frame. Drag it to move it and drag the handles to resize. The ratio isn’t locked, so you can make it taller or wider.

Save

Click SAVE & EXIT.

  • Desktop: The Arcade demo plays on the page. They follow the hotspots and click through each step.
  • Mobile: On a phone, the Arcade area shows as a blurred card. Tapping it opens Arcade full screen in a bottom sheet, so it stays usable on a small screen.
  • Downloaded PDF: A PDF can’t run an embed. FeatPaper puts the Arcade logo in its place, linked to that page of the shared link, and adds a QR code at the bottom right of the page. If you turn off the document’s QR setting, the QR code isn’t added.
  • Embeds don’t count toward any plan limit and have no size limit. You can use them on every plan, Starter included.
  • FeatPaper checks only the link format when you click Add. Whether content appears depends on the sharing settings in Arcade.
  • You can also paste iframe embed code. FeatPaper pulls out the src="…" address, as long as it uses double quotes.
  • After a version update, motions don’t carry over on their own. When you open the editor, FeatPaper asks whether to copy the previous version’s motion content to the same pages and positions.
  • Changes you publish in Arcade show up in the embed.
  • Give the demo enough space. Interactive demos are easier to use when the frame covers most of the page.
I pasted the link and got "The embed URL is not supported". What should I check?

The link isn’t in a format FeatPaper accepts for Arcade. Go back to Arcade and copy the link described in Get the link ready above, then paste it again.

How does it look on a phone?

Viewers see a blurred card on the page. One tap opens Arcade full screen in a bottom sheet.

What happens if someone downloads the PDF?

The embed can’t play inside a PDF. The Arcade logo takes its place and links to that page of the shared link, and a QR code appears at the bottom right of the page.

I copied the link from Arcade's editor. Is that OK?

Yes. FeatPaper converts an editor link (/flows/XXXXXXXX/edit) to the share link. Check the demo in the preview afterwards.

Can I see which steps a viewer clicked?

Not in FeatPaper. It doesn’t record clicks inside embeds. You still see who opened the page and how long they stayed.
