Upload straight from Figma
Send the frames you select in Figma straight to FeatPaper. Install the plugin once, and you can turn a selection into a FeatPaper document without exporting a PDF or saving images by hand. Share the design as one link, then see which screen held attention the longest — reviews and feedback move faster that way.
What is the Figma plugin?
Section titled “What is the Figma plugin?”The Figma plugin exports a design to FeatPaper from inside Figma. You do not convert the file to a PDF or download it first — the selection becomes a shareable document in one move.
Reach it right from My Documents
Section titled “Reach it right from My Documents”Open a folder in My Documents that has no documents yet. Figma, Adobe Express, and PowerPoint icons appear below the upload area in the center. Click the Figma icon to jump to the Figma Community install page below.

What it supports
Section titled “What it supports”The plugin turns all kinds of designs into FeatPaper documents.
| Content type | Example use |
|---|---|
| Presentations | Present design mockups, run client reviews |
| Portfolios | Share a collection of work as a link |
| UI/UX designs | Share screen specs and wireframes |
| Brand guides | Document brand assets and guidelines |
| Marketing assets | Share banners, card news, and other visuals |
Plans and permissions
Section titled “Plans and permissions”The plugin itself is open on every plan. The real limits are the monthly upload count and the PDF size cap.
| Item | Starter | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plugin access | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Monthly uploads (new documents + versions) | 10 | 30 | 30 per seat | Custom |
| PDF file size | 30MB | 100MB | 300MB | Custom |
| Per-recipient links (per document) | 3 | 10 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
- The folder list shows only folders you can edit. A folder shared with you for viewing cannot be picked.
- A document you export into someone else’s folder counts against the plan of the space that folder belongs to.
Ways to use this
Section titled “Ways to use this”Turn the frames into one link instead of scattering exported images, and you get back where each viewer stopped.
The exported document is PDF-based, so prototype interactions do not play. When the motion matters, add a screen recording or a GIF on the document detail screen — one document holds 3 videos and GIFs combined on Starter, 5 on Pro, and unlimited on Business and above, while YouTube and Vimeo links don’t count toward that number.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Hidden layers are left out. Check that every layer you need is visible before you export.
- There is no auto-sync. After you change the design, run Export again.
- Exporting again does not update the earlier document. A second document appears in the folder. To keep the link, use Update a document on the document detail Content tab.
- Frame order follows Figma’s layer order. Reorder the layers first when the pages come out in the wrong sequence.
- The exported document is PDF-based. Prototype interactions and animations do not carry over. Add a video or GIF on the document detail screen when you need motion.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The plugin won't run
- Refresh the Figma desktop app or your browser.
- Remove the plugin and install it again.
- Check the plugin permissions on your Figma account.
Frames go missing
- Check that the frames you want are selected.
- Hidden layers are excluded from the export.
No space or folder to select
- Folders you cannot edit never appear in the list. Check your access to that folder.
- Switch to a different space and try again.

Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I use the Figma plugin on the free Starter plan?
Yes. It works on every plan, including the free Starter plan. All you need is edit access to the folder you upload to.
Where do I install the Figma plugin?
From the FeatPaper plugin page on Figma Community. Opening an empty folder in My Documents also shows a Figma icon that leads to the same page.
I was invited to someone else's folder with edit access. If I export there, who owns the document, and which plan sets the link cap and analytics?
A folder you joined with edit access appears in the plugin’s folder list. The document you export there is recorded as one you uploaded, but it registers to the space that owns the folder. The per-recipient link cap (3 on Starter, 10 on Pro, unlimited on Business and Enterprise) and the viewing analytics follow that space’s plan, not your personal plan.
Can I export several frames at once?
Yes. The frames or pages you select become a single document, and each frame becomes its own page.
If I edit the Figma file, does the FeatPaper document update automatically?
No. Run Export again in the plugin for the latest content to land. There is no auto-sync.
Are hidden layers and components exported too?
No. Hidden layers are excluded. Check that every layer you need is visible before you export.
Can I export a design that uses team libraries?
Yes. A design that includes Figma team-library components exports the same way, frame by frame.
Do prototype interactions and animations carry over?
No. The exported document is PDF-based, so prototype links and animations do not play. Add a video or GIF on the document detail screen when the story needs motion.
Is there an upload size limit?
Yes. The same per-plan upload limit applies as a direct web upload: 30MB on Starter, 100MB on Pro, 300MB on Business, and a custom cap on Enterprise. See Upload a document for details.
Key points
Section titled “Key points”- Install the plugin from Figma Community, and each selected frame becomes one page of a FeatPaper document.

- Hidden layers are dropped, and page order follows Figma’s layer order.
- There is no auto-sync. Run Export again after you change the design.
