AI Analytics

AI Analytics lets you ask about the reading data in your space in chat and have AI analyze it for you, instead of picking apart tables and charts. Ask in plain language — “Which document got the best response?” or “Who read the most this week?” — and get an answer back.

Head into the AI Analytics menu in the sidebar.

When you first enter, a “Welcome to AI Analytics” greeting appears along with the note “Ask anything — analyze your space data, draw out insights, suggest improvements, and more.”

  • Input box: Type a question in the “Type your message…” box at the bottom (centered on the first screen) and send it. AI writes its answer in real time, and the Stop button halts it mid-write.
  • Suggested questions: Click a chip under “Suggested questions:” below the input box and that question is sent right away.
  • Recent chats: Use the Recent chats icon at the top right to expand your list of past conversations and reopen them.
  • New chat: Press the new-chat icon at the top right to clear the current context and start fresh.

The first screen offers questions like these (clicking one sends it right away).

  • Show me the document view ranking for the last 30 days
  • Who are the most active viewers this week?
  • What is the view share by device and browser?
  • What are the average completion and drop-off rates for the past month?
  • Analyze the engagement of viewers from a specific company domain

AI Analytics consumes AI credits per question. When your credits run out, instead of an answer you see “You’re out of credits and can’t use AI Analytics. Upgrade your plan to keep going.” along with an Upgrade plan button.

Credits reset every month, and the monthly grant depends on your plan.

Even with a scheduled cancellation or a payment being retried, AI Analytics keeps working until the expiry date as long as your plan stays at Pro or above. The menu locks only from the point your subscription actually expires or your plan drops below Pro. Exact expiry handling follows the server policy.

How is this different from the AI summary on the home screen?

Section titled “How is this different from the AI summary on the home screen?”

The one-line summary with an AI badge at the top of the home (space) screen is a fixed line auto-generated from the statistics of the period you selected. AI Analytics here, by contrast, is a separate feature where you type your own questions and have a conversation. For details, see Tour the Home screen.

The home screen’s one-line summary does not consume AI credits and shows on Starter as is. Credits are drawn only when you send a question in this chat or use AI interest analysis on a document.

AI splits into two branches. AI interest analysis on a document explains one person (every plan), while AI Analytics here explains the whole space (Pro and above). Use them together and you get both “who to contact first” and “what to fix in the document.”

The Insights screen reports metrics precisely, but as documents and viewers multiply you end up opening tables one at a time. AI Analytics sweeps several documents and viewers at once and answers in sentences, so it tells you where to look first. Its only evidence is the data collected in this space, though, so thin data makes for rough answers.

Which plan can use AI Analytics?

The AI Analytics chat needs the Pro plan or above. Open the menu on Starter and, instead of navigating, an upgrade prompt opens. Starter still gets 30 AI credits a month, so AI interest analysis on a document stays available.

Does it cost something every time I ask?

It consumes AI credits. The monthly grant is 30 on Starter, 1,000 on Pro, 3,000 on Business, and unlimited on Enterprise, and you check the balance under Settings > Usage. When it runs out, an upgrade prompt appears.

Where do I check my remaining credits?

Under Settings > Usage. The menu used to be called “Credit usage” and is now Usage, and it shows more than credits: this cycle’s upload count plus your plan limits for PDF size, video and GIF size, the per-document count those two share, and per-recipient links. Only a space admin can open it, and that has nothing to do with your plan — an admin on Starter gets in.

Can I see conversations I had before?

Yes. From the Recent chats icon at the top right, open your list of past conversations and pick up where you left off. To start a new one, press the new-chat icon.

What does the AI base its answers on?

Only the document reading and lead data piling up in the space you are currently viewing. It doesn’t pull in data from other spaces or outside information.

Can only I see the conversations I have in AI Analytics?

The recent-chats list is queried per space, so per-person isolation cannot be assumed. Treat the list as potentially visible to teammates in the same space, and enter sensitive questions with care.

I scheduled a cancellation, or my payment failed and is being retried — can I keep using AI Analytics?

Whether you scheduled a cancellation (before expiry) or a payment is being retried, AI Analytics keeps working until the expiry date as long as your plan stays at Pro or above. Once the subscription actually expires or the plan drops below Pro, the menu locks.

I'm on the Pro plan but AI Analytics is locked and I don't even see an upgrade button.

That isn’t a plan issue. Your admin (or support) has separately disabled AI Analytics for that space. The screen reads “This feature is currently restricted. Please contact your admin,” and upgrading won’t unlock it — contact your admin.

What happens if I press 'Stop' mid-answer or my internet drops?

Press Stop while an answer is generating, or lose the network, and the streaming halts. The answer received so far either stays or changes to “The conversation was interrupted.” or “Please check your network connection.” That text is shown on screen only. Reopening the conversation or refreshing reloads just the answer saved on the server. Stop only halts what the screen shows — the server finishes generating the answer, so the credit is still deducted in full. Stopping partway does not save credits, so check your question once more before you send it again.

If I delete a conversation, is the credit usage record erased too? Can I recover a deleted conversation?

Hover over an item in the chat-history list to reveal a trash icon and delete that conversation. Only the conversation and its messages are erased; the deduction records in the detailed usage history under Settings > Usage (requester, feature, credits deducted, timestamp) are managed entirely separately and stay put. No feature brings back a deleted conversation, though, so double-check before deleting whether you will want it again.

If a member invited to only some folders asks a question, does data from folders they can't access still show in the answer?

AI Analytics questions are handled at the space level, not per folder. Permission info like which folders you were invited to is not passed along with a question, so whether the answer’s scope narrows to the requester’s folder permissions can’t be assumed from the screen. If you have sensitive folders, set your teammate invite scope carefully.

If I open a conversation a colleague made in another language, does the answer switch to my language?

No. A saved answer stays fixed in the language it was first generated in (the dashboard language of whoever sent the question). For example, if a Japanese-UI user opens a conversation made in a Korean UI, the existing answers stay in Korean, and only a new question in that conversation gets its answer generated freshly in the asker’s own language. The suggested-question chips, on the other hand, are not saved values — they show in the language of whoever is viewing the screen, on the fly.

I sent a question but got no answer, and an empty conversation with just a title showed up in 'Recent chats'. Was I charged credits?

When you send a question, a conversation is created on the server first, with its title auto-set from the start of your question. You are moved into it, and then the answer starts. If it fails before the answer is saved, an empty conversation with a title but no content can be left in the list. Credits are deducted after an answer is generated and saved, so an empty conversation like this — where no answer was produced — costs you nothing. Coming back to the page later doesn’t auto-continue into that empty conversation — you get the welcome screen instead. Empty conversations are not tidied up automatically, so delete one yourself via the trash icon that appears when you hover over the item.

If I open it on another device or browser, does my ongoing conversation carry over?

The recent-chats list and conversation contents are saved per space on the server, so clicking a conversation in the list reopens it as-is on any device or browser. But the behavior that auto-continues the conversation you were last viewing uses information saved only in that browser, so it works per device. Have a conversation open on your work PC and another device may show the welcome screen instead. Pick the conversation from the recent-chats list and it reopens with its contents intact.
